She should be. After Tea Party candidate Richard Mourdock spouted off and said it was Gods will that a woman be raped and have a baby then you can not blame the woman who got women the vote in this country to turn over a few times. That was after Todd Akin said women have a pac man that gets activated and eats the sperm if it is legitimate rape. Susan was just groaning then. But Mourdock pretty much makes Akin look like a small time thug when it comes to stealing the right for women to control their body. And Mitt cant say enough nice things about Dick Mourdock.
And you might way well that is politics. That may be but Mitt has taken a lot of IOUs from the far right and the Tea Party and they will want to start cashing them and they will start with Roe V. Wade. Don't forget Paul Ryan. Mitt may change like the wind but Paul really believes the crazy Ayn Rand psychology he fires off. His Social Darwinism runs along the lines of I know what is best for people and I sure as hell know what is best for women. They need not worry about making decisions because I will make them for you.
Take the Lily Ledbetter bill. Why not give women equal pay for equal work? Nope. Sorry. Mitt and Paul and Todd and Richard don't really believe in that. Because that would mean women are EQUAL. Listen up ladies. They do not believe you are equal. They don't believe anyone is really equal except for white males. Make that rich white males. Notice a trend. The slow and steady disenfranchisement of women and other minorities and then the wholesale marginalization of the middle class. Sounds like an old boys club to me.
But don't take my word for it. Just google Todd Akin. Richard Mourdock. Paul Ryan. Mitt Romney. Put abortion views and women's rights after their name. Then go vote. You will understand why Susan is sitting up about now and saying enough is enough. Next thing you know they will want to take away the vote.
For women that is.
And African Americans...
And poor people...
And Latinos...
And Asians...
