The Cliche of the Tyranny of Cliches

There is a book out called the Tyranny of Cliches which supposedly puts the lie to Liberal/Left Wing ideals and propaganda. The authors epiphanic moment came when he deduced that Liberal views or talking points or ideals were not founded in any sort of reality at all. The liberals have no ideology where in fact Conservatives do have an ideology and are willing to stand up for what they believe in. While liberals just talk. The author on Pierce Morgan said of course he agrees with these talking points. That we should help poor people and it is bad if the rich are taking more than their fair share (they aren't he points out) but if they were then of course they should give more.

The problem with the authors assertion that conservatives agree with these empty cliches is of course that they don't. The author has simply pulled a Romney and become what he hates. And the author does hate liberals. The snapping jaw, the smoting eyes while Pierce questioned him as the author complained he was not given a fair shake before on his who, demonstrate  that he is not just a man who has pointed out an unfortunate truth for Liberals. He does not really believe in the empty cliches which have no bite as he points out. We should help poor people. The rich take too much. We should not bust unions. We should not eviscerate teachers pensions. But he does a good job of intellectualizing.

The cliche of The Tyranny of Cliches is that the emperor has no clothes at all. Conservatives do not have the moral highroad nor do they want it. They do not try and help the poor and they do not try and close loopholes for the rich or corporations. Even if not one Liberal policy ever made it through into any sort of tangible benefit for anybody, it is preferable to have people giving lip service to helping their fellow man and woman than the bat the Conservatives use to beat anyone down who dare tries. But to base a book on a thesis founded in the bitterness of being low on the totem pole of moral authority, is really someone just dressing up the same old tired saw... nothing really changes, so why try?

The View Women call Bill O'Reilly a Pinhead and Walk Off

It took a couple of women to do what no one else seems to have had either the guts or the moral courage to do and that is tell the hatemongers of America enough is enough. Just because someone  is on television and makes millions of dollars off of hate doesn't give them the right to spew hatred as they please. Bill O'Reilly is a point in fact. Spewing away on the View, bullying the women as he bullies everyone, Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg finally called him out and said enough is enough and walked off the set of The View.

They did return later and Bill O'Reilly managed to grovel a bit, but the point is they were not going to sit there and listen to his garbage. Finally television personalities called out one of their own and said you are not worthy of being on the stage. Glen Beck, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly have made millions off the distress of our bad times. People are desperate. They are broke and unemployed and scared and the hate mongers bleed this like a wound. They know people want a demon. They want a scapegoat and the Three Stooges of Hate are only to glad to give them plenty of people to hate and make millions in the process.

But no one has called them out. People go on their shows and take their abuse and slink away. Women interestingly enough are more willing to call people out when the dung really reins down. Men are more apt to grin and bear it, but women really do have a line and once crossed they don't think well this is my career and I better listen to this moron prattle on and spew his hatred across the land. Joy and Whoopi just stood up and walked off and left the bile spewing Bill O'Reilly looking like the ass he really is. Hopefully, other people in television will show the courage these two woman did and call out these hate mongers for who they really are...scum.

Glen Beck is Huey Long

Every man is a King. The great Kingfisher. You can hear him now up there on the steps of the Lincoln monument. Huey Long has risen from the dead from the depression and come back to us in the form of a short man with blond hair and glasses. Huey Long with his machine gun toting stooges who guarded the Louisiana Governor mansion while Huey plotted a run for the White House. The depths of the Depression with Roosevelt trying to get the country on it's feet, calling Huey Long the most dangerous man in America. People in desperate times are attracted to desperate people. Roosevelt understood this. He breathed a sigh of relief when Huey Long was gunned down.


America is going back to God the new Huey Long tells us. America is in the middle of change. Turning back to traditional values. Glen Beck tells people who lost everything that there are better times ahead if we ignore the future. It is the President and the Socialists. They will use dogs and water cannons on us. Just like the Civil Rights marchers. We are one with the Civil Rights people. We are one with Martin Luther King.

The man has no shame. We live in a shameless age. Beck is right. The country has been hijacked. It has been hijacked by people spewing hatred and wrapping it up in religion and the American flag. Don't wave your signs he tells the followers. Don't let them see how crazy you are until we are in power. Glen Beck is Huey Long. He is a Demigod who seems himself as the anointed one to bring about a one man revolution.

Huey Long has risen from the swamps of Louisiana. President Obama should take a hard look at the rally in Washington. He might just see the most dangerous man in America.
